When a person is accused of a serious crime, it might be wise for them to speak with an experienced criminal defense attorney in New Jersey. They can help a person form a rigorous defense. Seeking help before admitting guilt can help make sure a person understands their rights, how the court process works and exactly what a guilty plea might mean for them.

Sometimes authorities will say things or make promises to try to get a person to admit to a crime, even if there might not be enough evidence to convict them should the case go to trial. Not only could these charges result in significant jail time, they could also lead to severe damage to a person's reputation and future potential.
